Abstract

In this study, we present a waste management system that uses GPS and GSM wireless technology to separate trash and keep tabs on it. In order to keep the environment clean, intelligent waste management is crucial. Reason being, modern society's biggest problem is disorganized and non-systematic garbage collection. Consequently, we must find a way to gather trash efficiently. We have provided an integrated platform for trash segregation and monitoring as a solution to this challenge. An embedded system will monitor the quantity of garbage placed. The trash is first classified into dry, metal, and wet categories during segregation. Then, during monitoring, sensors are inserted in the bins containing dry and wet waste, and the level of each bin is relayed via GSM with GPS locations. In addition to offering a cost-effective option for collecting vast amounts of data, The Internet of Things, or IoT, is a network of linked computers that can send data without requiring human intervention.
